Our SmartWings Roller Shade arrived today via DHL, professionally packaged and damage free. The installation process was smooth and the top-inside-mount process was easy with a very good clip system. I was able to integrate the shade with Apple Home easily and they work smoothly and quietly.

Install was simple. The biggest issue I had was connectivity of the zigbee motor to my SmartThings hub. The blind is on a basement bedroom window and the hub is upstairs. What finally worked for me was to tape the antenna wires to the plastic end cap of the blind valance. I took the 2 antenna wires out different directions and taped then with clear scotch tape to the plastic holding them away from the metal front of the valance. It improved things tremendously. Hope this tip helps others with their setup.

Website is easy to navigate and there is plenty of information on how to measure to get an accurate fit. Mine was an outside mount so not a critical as inside but the measurements are spot on. I purchased a roller shade and it shipped very fast and arrived super well packaged. Instructions are included and are easy to follow. I didn't go for solar as it would not work in my situation but a very long charge cord is included, mine is at the top of a door and I can still plug it in to and outlet on an adjoining wall and charge the unit. So far it hasn't used much power drain at all and I have it auto open and close every day based on the location of the sun. Super happy with the quality and experience of this purchase, exactly what I needed.

It works as advertised right out of the box. I installed the hardware brackets above the the molding. I was surprised how easily the shade clipped into the brackets. The remote works just fine, although my drapes are blocking straight line-of-sight access to the receiver. Didn't care about remote control. Would have preferred chain operation or switch on the wall. Overall it is proving to be an excellent product.

Easy install, great product. Small complaints: (1) there is space for light to get through on the left and right sides, (2) they advertise that you can connect to the motor from Google Home - but it only works if you buy the $140 ZigBee Hub that connects to the motors. Overall happy but I really wanted to control the blinds with my phone and I can't unless I spend more.

The roller shade arrived in excellent condition with the top notch packaging. I didn't have a remote with the order. It was added to an existing group of shades. It was a little challenging to get it programmed with the group but I did it with the help of online videos. Once again the measurements I gave of my window was trimmed down with fabrication tolerances. The shade barely covered the window. I'll know better to inflate my measurements the next time. I do plan to order more motorized roller shades.

The fabric is fine and blacks out as advertised. The tolerance used in fabrication of the roller shade is a bit too much. The shade doesn't cover the window area as much as I had hoped. I have space remaining between the end of the rollers and wall. The valance could be increased in size to hide more of the roller shade when not in use. The motor is more quiet than some other motorized shades I've heard. A good thing!

I absolutely LOVE these blinds! I have so many windows (near streetlights) in my bedroom that I often feel like I'm sleeping in a fishbowl. Two of my window banks are 6 feet wide by 8 feet tall and the larger one is 8 feet wide by 7 feet tall. I was very concerned about the size I needed but, after lots of research, I finally decided on SmartWings based on other reviews and the excellent features offered. I chose 100% blackout linen shades with HomeKit (Siri) and Solar Charging options (such a huge bonus to never have to think about charging again!). Now I simply tell Siri "goodnight" and my bedroom transforms into a dark cave. These blinds have completely transformed my sleeping habits. Not only are they a breeze to install and set up if you DO run into any questions, the online chat support is super responsive and extremely helpful. I HIGHLY recommend SmartWings blinds to anyone who has been on the fence about upgrading to automated blinds. You will NOT be disappointed with SmartWings!

I love the shades. My only issue is that it's advertised as working with Google Home, but only comes with instructions for Alexa. Upon contacting supporting, it's clear that they want me to buy another hub to go with the shade; which was never made clear at time of purchase.

Absolutely love the SmartWings blinds. This is a no brainer.
1. Packaging was impeccable. Multiple layers of protection.
2. Assembly instructions were clear and simple to understand.
3. The metal bar holding the blind is flexible. Our blinds were extra wide and came with 3 mounting plates. Once mounted the metal bar becomes stiff and the blinds function exceptionally well.
4. If you make sure to level the mounting plates properly the rolling up and down of the blinds looks perfect. Everything is square and the motors work amazingly.
5. I ordered the basic white remote and a smart link adapter with another SmartWings order. Both work super well. Pairing the remote & the smart link adapter to the motor was easy. Now I can control the blinds with the remote and through Alexa & my phone.
6. The fabric of the blind is the Blackout Linen - White. It looks very good and is high quality.

We just received our smartwings motorized roller blinds and are so impressed! First off, we received stellar customer service on the front end. Then, we received our order within 10 days from order. Packaging was so well done. Not only was each box labeled with room info but so was the blind itself. Install took minutes per blind. My husband was able to install all 18 blinds within an hour. Each blind was preprogrammed so once installed and “on” the remote worked. We haven’t programmed Alexa yet but with the quality of product and instructions we have already seen, I don’t foresee it being too tough.
We had a handful of quotes for roller shades from different companies ranging from 12-25K (and this was with only a couple being motorized). After seeing their samples and seeing Smartwings samples, I realized they are all similar quality. However, smartwings afforded us the ability to make all windows roller shades motorized, received them in a much quicker timeframe at a quarter of the cost! The fit based on the dimensions I provided was perfect. The build quality is solid. If there is one opportunity for improvement it would be the instruction manuals for installation. Installing is straight forward but I would not be surprised if others struggle.

New home purchase: over 54 windows in the house. 34 in need of immediate covering. About half need black out and the other half are light filtering. These are way better than the more expensive ones I was quoted at local big box retailers. Was initially hesitant to go with a sight unseen brand.So figured I give Smartwings a shot. Unboxing was pleasantly surprised at how nice they are. Boxes were well packed with good cushioning. There was some initial confusion with 2 separate orders I placed, but their excellent customer service was quick and responsive. They helped get everything in one order and made sure everything was ok. They confirmed how I measured before cutting just to be safe. All responses were within an hour of request via messages. Very happy with SmartWings so far. Shipping was way faster than expected. I'll post more info after they are installed in a new house in a couple of weeks.
Im 2 months in and have installed a second round. 34 windows total. Have all kinds of zones and settings to open an close different rooms based on time of day. I bought the additional hub and have everything controllable via Alexa.
Out of 34 windows, my best quote installed locally was more than twice as much with only 30% the windows motorized. Had 2 "budget" quotes that were even more than 2 times as much. I ended up do the measurements myself and only messed up on one blind - and that was during order entry. Smartwings took care of a replacement free - just had to switchout the motor (real quick - 2 screws).

Blinds were very very easy to install and the customer service was through the roof! Quality is great! The only complaint I have is when the motor is located on the left hand side the cord for the solar panel is located more towards the front so you can see about an inch of the cable. Other than that I'd reccomend it to anyone!

We love these shades so much - I have now ordered them for every room in the house. I have them programmed to iHome and the rooms closest to my iHome device work the most reliably - but I think that's an iHome issue - not a shade issue. They are so easy to install and connect to iHome - I cannot recommend enough for someone that wants an affordable motorized shade.

I originally purchased one roller shade about 2 months ago to see how they perform. The setup for connecting to a Samsung Smartthings hub was simple and quick. I was able to automate the blinds to close just after sunset and open just after sunrise. The shades look nice as well. I liked the shades enough that I bought 4 more to complete the room. All 5 shades open and close together with the automation. The material on the original shade was not quite what I expected (the sunscreen material gives no privacy) and Smartwings was good to work with me to get a replacement roller with a 70% linen material that does give good privacy. The 5 shades have been going like clockwork for a couple of weeks. After 7 weeks the battery on the first shade is at 59%. Those that have been running for just a few weeks are ~85%. The only issue I've had is that one of the shades doesn't respond to the 5 channel remote when I have it control all channels at once. It does work with the remote when I select it by itself. All in all, a good product so far.

Ordering these shades online was a very easy process. I quickly received a confirmation of the order. Even though these shades come from overseas, they shipped quickly and we received the shades with no issues. It was good that we gave each shade a name, (ie. Master Left, Master Right, etc) which made it much easier to identify where each shade went. Installing the shades was also a breeze. As was the programming of the shades. We ordered the shades with the motor to be used with the “Apple Home” app. The Home app works great. We also purchases the remotes and they to work excellently as well.
I would highly recommend this company and would definitely buy from them again. The price was good and the quality is excellent.

Purchasing, receiving, and installing these HomeKit enabled shades went off without any issues. Well engineered and designed with high quality. Before I ordered I contacted SmartWings with some questions, they responded quickly and included pictures that completely answered my questions.
I ordered outside mount rolling shades for a siding door with a wall frame width measuring 70 3/4, so I ordered width of 72 3/4. The blinds I received the cloth measures 71 1/4.
I ordered the Alexa compatible motor (be sure your Echo device is Zigbee compatible), on order form it shows which Echo devices are (I did not pay attention to that). I did not order a remote but one was included. I’m not sure if the remote was included because I paid for the Alexa upgrade but without the remote I do not know how I would have adjusted the travel limits.
The packaging of the blinds was excellent, I ordered 12/24 and received 1/14 and most of that time was spent with UPS.
Quality of blinds looks good, directions for install and programming understandable and complete.
I would definitely order from them again but would get clarification regarding actual width of the material, length not an issue.
